Patting myself on the back for this time sensative satire on Hurricane Isaac, the GOP National Convention, and Todd Akin's incredibly bad timing for making his devastating remark. I understand Todd Akin is now trailing his opponent for the U.S. Senate by 10 points when the race was pretty much even before. While this powerful shift in local numbers does not translate into national numbers for the GOP in general or for Romney-Ryan in particular, it is still quite a shift in a local race where people have made up their minds and usually don't let national stories cloud their focus.
